About The Opportunity
Amentum provides solutions across environment, energy, and defence sectors. We seek a Senior Ecologist with environmental impact assessment (EIA) experience to work on projects in high-hazard industries. The role can be based in Harwell, Rotherham, Cumbria, or Birchwood.
Key Responsibilities
* Environmental Impact Assessments: Manage ecology inputs from planning to reporting.
* Field Work & Client Liaison: Lead site visits and surveys, coordinate with clients.
* Project Documentation: Oversee reports for planning applications.
* Methodological Innovation: Develop innovative impact assessment methods.
* Best Available Techniques: Contribute to techniques considering climate, emissions, biodiversity, etc.
Here's What You'll Need
* EIA Leadership: 5+ years in high-hazard industry EIAs.
* Education: Degree in relevant sciences.
* Professional Qualifications: Chartered Ecologist or equivalent.
* Additional Knowledge: Familiarity with air quality, noise, or dispersion modelling (not required).
* Communication & Problem-Solving: Strong interpersonal and analytical skills.
* Flexibility: Willing to travel, including overseas.
