An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our OPAT (Outpatient Parenteral Antimicrobial Therapy) Team. We are seeking to employ a Band 6 OPAT Specialist Nurse to join our team.

Working in partnership with the wider multidisciplinary team and fellow specialist nurses, candidates must be able to demonstrate high quality communication and interpersonal skills alongside a genuine desire to ensure exemplary person centred care. Candidates will also be able to demonstrate evidence of continued professional development.

You will have ideally worked with patients requiring intravenous antibiotic treatments, have extensive experience in acute nursing and be able to demonstrate a good understanding of the OPAT specialist nurse role and demonstrate transferrable skills.

Candidates should be able to demonstrate high quality leadership and management skills to enable change, as we continue to develop our service into a nurse led pathway.

The role will be primarily based within Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, but will involve travelling to Dr Grays in Elgin, and other community hospitals to support the service activity as required.
