Main duties of the job
As a Registered Nurse at Avery Healthcare, you will be responsible for providing person-centered care to the residents, including medication distribution, dressings, catheterization, and tube feeding. You will also be required to advise families and GPs of any changes in residents' conditions and keep them informed about ongoing care. Additionally, you will be responsible for the effective deployment and supervision of the care team, ensuring all tasks are completed and residents receive the required care. The ideal candidate should have a First Level qualification, current NMC registration, a minimum of 2 years' experience, and up-to-date knowledge of care, supported by relevant post-basic studies/qualifications.

Job responsibilities
Your focus as a Registered Nurse will be to act as the person in charge, standing in for the Manager as required and observing all instructions to act upon his/her behalf whilst ensuring high standards of care to our residents.
Other responsibilities will include:
* Undertaking nursing tasks including distribution of medication, dressings, catheterisation, tube feeding and management of chronic medical conditions.
* Advising families of residents and GPs of any changes in condition, which gives rise to concern and keeping them informed and involved in choices for ongoing care.
* Responsibility for the effective deployment and supervision of staff within the care team, ensuring all tasks are completed during the period of duty and residents receive required care.
* Providing high standards of care by undertaking accurate assessment and planning.

* Have sound knowledge of care planning and its practical application.
