Role Overview:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Manufacturing Technician to join our growing, friendly team at Niftylift! The role is based at our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Stonebridge, Milton Keynes.
The Manufacturing Technician role requires team players with experience, skills and knowledge in mechanical assembly, as well as basic hydraulic and electrical fitting and installation.

Key Responsibilities:
* Mechanical assembly with some hydraulic installation and electrical wiring operations required
* Efficient in correct-to-specification structured build stages
* Compliance with health and safety standards
* Flexible to further develop and enhance skills through learning a range of manufacturing process stages and production lines
* Continuous improvement and elimination of waste through 'Lean Manufacturing' techniques and tools
* Working as a team player to achieve customer quality, delivery, cost, and innovation requirements

Previous Experience:
* Experience in a similar hands-on assembly role
* Computer skills, including the use of Microsoft Office
* A good communicator (spoken and written) at all levels within the business, including with customers
Working Hours & Salary:
This role works on a rotating shift pattern, and the successful candidate will work one week of early shifts followed by one week of late shifts (37.5 hours per week basic):
* Early Shift: 06:00 - 14:00 (Monday - Thursday), 06:00 - 11:30 (Friday)
* Late Shift: 14:00 - 22:00 (Monday - Thursday), 11:00 - 16:30 (Friday)
* Guaranteed hourly starting rate: £12.37 per hour (rising to a maximum of £14.94 per hour once signed off at specific skill levels)
* Shift Premium: 15% on all basic hours worked (37.5 per week)
* Overtime: paid at a premium rate (x1.5 or x2.0 depending on hours worked)
* Bonus: weekly production bonus guaranteed at a minimum of £50 per week when all qualifying criteria are met, annual bonus (for indication only) based on recent average £500 per annum
