GR Employment Ltd is currently recruiting a 7.5 Ton Courier Driver to be based at one of our key customer sites in Bolton. This role involves the daily delivery and collection of shipments, ensuring that our customers enjoy a consistently high‑quality service enhanced by your speed, passion, and a can‑do attitude.
Working Hours & Benefits
Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 18:00 (start/finish times may vary with workload).
Pay: £15.07 per hour.
Overtime: £22.61 per hour (after 13 weeks).
Breaks: 45 minutes unpaid break.
Please note that this is a temporary position, which may lead to a full‑time opportunity.
Key Responsibilities
* Complete around 20 multi‑drop deliveries and collections per day, including loose loading.
* Accurately record driving and working hours in line with road transport legislation.
* Carry out daily vehicle safety checks and ensure proper vehicle maintenance.
* Adhere to company driving standards, including safe loading and load security.
* Operate handheld scanners and work efficiently to meet warehouse dispatch deadlines.
* Maintain excellent planning and organisational skills to manage delivery schedules.
* Deliver a high standard of customer service, showing flexibility and a can‑do attitude.
* Support site security procedures, promptly reporting any concerns.
* Be open to ongoing training and development, attending required courses as needed.
* Adapt to occasional changes in delivery routes based on business needs.
Job Qualifications
* Full UK Driving Licence with C1 entitlement (7.5 ton).
* Digital Tachograph Card and CPC qualification.
* Minimum 2 years’ professional driving experience (insurance requirement).
* Prior multi‑drop courier experience (preferred).
* Strong customer‑facing skills and ability to work under pressure.
* Keen attention to detail and the ability to work quickly and efficiently.
* Knowledge of transport regulations and health & safety standards.
* For insurance purposes, you must be at least 21 years old and have no more than 9 penalty points on your driving licence within the last 3 years.
