Job Title: Behaviour Support/Mentor Location: Dinnington (S25) Pay rate: £460 - £600 per week (Depending on experience) Start Date: Immediate Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time Are you passionate about helping pupils overcome challenges and achieve their best? GSL Education are currently welcoming applications from committed Behaviour Support staff / Mentors to work in schools across Dinnington (S25). This is a rewarding opportunity to provide guidance, encouragement, and structure for pupils who need extra support. As a Behaviour Support/Mentor, you will help pupils manage their behaviour, build confidence, and develop positive learning habits. Key Duties of Behaviour Support/Mentor: Provide 1:1 or small group support to pupils with behavioural or social challenges. Encourage positive behaviour and help pupils develop self-discipline and resilience. Build strong, trusting relationships to support pupils’ emotional and social development. Work closely with teachers and school staff to implement behaviour management strategies. Monitor and report on pupil progress and provide feedback to the pastoral team. Support pupils in developing coping strategies and social skills. Essential Requirements: Experience working with children or young people, ideally in a behaviour support or mentoring role. Patient, calm, and empathetic approach to challenging situations. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to remain consistent and supportive while managing behaviour effectively. Commitment to helping pupils succeed academically and personally. An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one. What’s in It for You?
