Partner/Senior Solicitor (Court of Protection)
Location: Leeds / Hybrid – based in our Leeds office with a great balance of working from home typically 3 days per week
Salary - Up to £55,000 DOE
Fletchers Solicitors Ltd have a fantastic opportunity for a Partner or experienced Senior Solicitor to join our rapidly growing Court of Protection team

This senior role is for an experienced Court of Protection specialist who will lead on complex, high-value matters, including deputyship work, PI trusts, statutory wills, and cases linked to ongoing litigation. You will combine technical excellence with empathetic client care, team leadership, and a proactive approach to developing people, processes, and the wider profile of the practice.
The ideal candidate would have:
* A minimum of 6 years PQE Court of Protection property & affairs work as well as experience of setting up and running PI trusts.
* Significant experience of very high value Court of Protection work particularly in the context of on-going litigation
* Experience of acting as a deputy/director of a trust corporation.
* Experience of making applications for statutory wills, gifts and other applications affecting property & affairs.
* Strong empathetic interpersonal skills and an ability to deal with a range of people with disabilities, their families and care team, as well as other legal professionals.
* High degree of professionalism, a pride in your work, and a commitment to achieve our clients' goals.
* Strong leadership skills, the ability to lead and manage a growing team in line with company budgets and departments KPIs.
* An enthusiasm for team building and raising the internal and external profile of the team.
* The ability to train and develop others.
* The ability to interact with colleagues and express opinions in a professional and courteous way.
* Excellent time management – i.e., the ability to complete given tasks within an acceptable timescale and to work within any reasonably given deadlines.
* The ability to work in an organised way and in line with departmental procedures.
* The ability to apply initiative and forward thinking.
* An interest in business development
This role has significant scope for career development as there is a large volume of high quality work generated by the clinical negligence and personal injury teams based in our Leeds office.
