Do you have nursery or holiday club experience and are looking to move to a school environment?

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic individual, committed to high-quality childcare and developing the best for every child. Our in-house provision, Treetops, has grown from strength to strength. It is a popular and well-attended club and we are looking for a Play Worker to help it continue to flourish.

Working under the direction of the After-School Club Manager, the successful candidate will have energy and enthusiasm to ensure that Treetops is a fun and exciting environment that children want to be part of. You would be responsible for leading games and activities, as well as preparing food for the children. You must be a great team-player and love engaging with both children and other adults. Showing initiative is key and we are looking for someone who can take a positive approach and remain calm. You should promote a relaxing and fun environment that the children across all ages want to be part of. If you have experience in another childcare environment, such as a nursery, holiday club or pre-school this could be the perfect move into a school environment. Candidates holding level 3 early years qualifications are strongly encouraged to apply.

About us

Trinity Oaks provides high quality education supported by a caring ethos, with a focus on the individual child. We are a one-form entry primary school, also offering pre-school provision for children aged 3 and above. Treetops is available to all Trinity Oaks children aged 3-11.

Our support staff are an integral part of our staff team and this is a great opportunity to work with children from all year-groups in a relaxed environment, developing relationships with parents and having an impact on children across the school.

Job details

15. Role: Play Worker in Treetops After-School Club
16. Start date: September 2025
17. Salary:Surrey Pay 3. Full-time equivalent (FTE) £24,330 (predicted 2025-26 salary). Actual pro-rata salary for 15 hours, 38 weeks a year: £8,497
18. Hours: 3-6pm Monday-Friday during term-time. This position is for 38 weeks (term-time only). Any essential INSET days will be paid in addition to this.
19. Location: Trinity Oaks CofE Primary School, Brookfield Drive, Horley RH6 9NS
20. Contract Type: Permanent, term-time only. Five-days-a-week, part-time.
