About the role
Become a driving force in our mission to revolutionise building maintenance! As a Software Developer at SFG20, you'll design, develop, and enhance cutting‑edge software solutions that empower our clients to create safer, more sustainable built environments. You'll be an integral part of a collaborative and agile team, working closely with Product Owners to bring exciting new features to life.
Key Responsibilities
* Take ownership of projects, from selecting tickets and estimating complexity to writing clean, efficient code and participating in code reviews.
* Develop features for our systems.
* Estimate the complexity of tickets and tasks.
* Deliver required software development tasks.
* Strive for quality in your work product.
* Ensure user stories are properly refined and groomed.
* Have influence over implementation choices.
* Share knowledge with colleagues and influence technical decisions, champion best practices, and contribute to shaping the future of our software.

Essential experience
* JavaScript and Node.js proficiency
* Experience with TypeScript
* Experience with Cypress automated testing
* Experience working with QA teams
* Strong understanding of software development principles and best practices.
* Experience with Agile development methodologies (e.g. Kanban)
* Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
* Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills.
* Strong communication and collaboration skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* A passion for continuous learning and development.
Desirable experience
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
* Portfolio on GitHub or other similar platform.
Additional Information
All candidates must be able to demonstrate a pre-existing right to work and travel within the UK. We are unfortunately not able to offer sponsorship. Documentary evidence will be required.
