At Blossom Tree Montessori, we are recruiting for a Deputy Room Leader to join our team at our Northwood Hills branch working with children aged 2-5 years. We are set next to a beautiful farm on Joel Street and are very accessible via Public Transport being around a 7 minute walk from the station and the bus stop is right outside the nursery.
This role is full time, working 40 hours per week – working a variety of shifts between the hours of 7:30am-6pm.

A day at Blossom would include:
* Working as part of a team to ensure the nursery runs smoothly and efficiently.
* Caring for all children and ensuring their personal and hygiene needs are met daily.
* Ensuring the children are happy, settled and content.
* Observing, assessing, and planning for the children's individual needs, ensuring their development is continuously monitored and create opportunities for children to progress.
* Keeping up to date and informed of legislation in relation to early education and ensure that all paperwork is in keeping with the EYFS and Ofsted Requirements.
* Becoming familiarised with the nursery's policies and procedures and working within these.
* Leading a team in the absence of the Room Leader, encouraging and raising practice daily.
* Delegating tasks to your team to ensure the smooth running of the room.
* Sharing creative ideas and willingly involving your team in decision making for the classroom e.g., activities/planning
* Forming professional and friendly partnerships with parents and forming secure relationships with the children.
* Using our nursery app "Blossom Educational" - training will be provided.
What we would ask from you:
* A full and relevant Childcare qualification at a minimum of Level 3.
* Previous experience of working as a Room Leader is essential.
* Having good ICT skills is essential.
* Being a positive role model to your team.
* Effectively lead and manage the staff team in the classrooms.
* An extensive knowledge of the current EYFS, Ofsted and welfare requirements.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* To be passionate, motivated, have the ability to work well within a team and be able to adapt to a fun and inspiring way of working.
We take safeguarding very seriously and a current and clean Disclosure Barring Services (DBS) Certificate is essential.
