JOB TITLE: External Contracts Manager LOCATION: Eastleigh, Hampshire SALARY: £42,000/Annum DURATION: Perm – 37 Hours per week, (phone number removed) The Employer: We are looking to fill the role of an External Contracts Manager within a housing environment, Our client is ambitious and has a huge 5 year plan which we are seeking this key member of the team to assist with, their main aim is to create a sustainable future for social housing, building new homes and investing in existing ones creating vibrant, thriving communities. Responsibilities Take ownership of the Roofing Programme, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality replacement roof coverings. Manage and oversee a variety of externally sourced contracts, including windows, doors, external works, and specialist projects. Monitor performance, budgets, and contractual obligations to ensure compliance with agreed standards. Foster strong, collaborative relationships with partner providers to ensure consistent service delivery. Challenge and influence contractors where necessary to drive improvements and ensure value for money. Provide technical expertise on complex maintenance and refurbishment projects. Regularly visit sites, attend contractor meetings, and collaborate with colleagues in the office to support operational excellence. Uphold company values by ensuring customer service remains at the heart of all projects. What You’ll Bring Proven experience in managing external contracts within a housing association or property services environment. Strong technical knowledge of roofing and external maintenance works. Confidence to challenge contractors constructively, with the ability to negotiate and influence outcomes. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. A proactive approach to problem-solving and driving service improvements. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build effective stakeholder relationships. Flexibility to travel across Companies’ geography and attend key office locations as required. (Yeovil/Bracknell & Eastleigh) A commitment to delivering high standards, ensuring financial, contractual, and quality expectations are consistently met. REQUIRED A basic DBS check will be required. A full driving licence SUMMARY: This is a Perm position, working a 37 hour week over 5 days. The role requires a satisfactory Basic DBS check.
