About the role
As a Teacher at Akeley Wood Junior, you will play a crucial role in fostering the intellectual, social, and emotional development of our students. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver engaging and effective lessons across a range of subjects while personalising your approach to meet the diverse needs of each child. You will collaborate with colleagues and contribute to the school’s initiatives, ensuring a stimulating and positive learning environment. This role requires a commitment to high standards of student behaviour, as well as adherence to safeguarding practices that prioritise the wellbeing of every pupil. You will communicate regularly with parents and caregivers, working in partnership to support the best possible outcomes for each student.
This is a full-time, permanent position with a start date in Autumn Term 2025.

Who we are looking for:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated individual who possesses a teaching degree with Qualified Teacher Status and experience in an educational setting. You should be skilled in utilising a variety of teaching styles and resources, including ICT, to engage students effectively. Your ability to build positive relationships, manage behaviour, and motivate pupils will be essential. An understanding of the National Curriculum and a commitment to ongoing professional development will set you apart.
