Head of Services (Job Share – 2 Days per Week + Handover)
Location : Welling- Bexley
Hours : Monday & Tuesday (8 : 45am–5 : 15pm) + Wednesday handover (1 hour phone on the phone) 45.6 weeks per year
Contract : Permanent – Job Share
Salary : £52,000 FTE (Actual equivalent £25 per hour, 17 hours per week)
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Head of Services to join our specialist therapy and alternative provision team. This job share position is ideal for a child and adolescent mental health professional with strong leadership experience in education settings.
The Role
As Head of Services, you will co‑lead our therapy day services, alternative provision and after‑school programmes. Key duties include :
* Managing therapy and AP operations on Mon & Tues with a structured weekly handover.
* Overseeing therapy caseloads, interventions and staff supervision.
* Supporting curriculum and EHCP planning with education leaders.
* Leading quality assurance, safeguarding escalation and professional liaison.
* Conducting staff PDPs, observations and supporting recruitment.
* Reviewing policies, handbooks and maintaining high service standards.
You will work closely with the wider leadership team, ensuring the Head of Services remit supports consistent, high‑quality care and education.
Essential Requirements
* Strong management and team leadership experience
* Understanding of SENCO processes and EHCP needs
* Knowledge of therapy supervision
* Excellent communication and IT skills
* Full driving licence and access to a vehicle
Desirable :
* Therapy qualification
* Level 5+ education qualification
* Confidence representing the service at events.
