Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Head Chef to take the lead in our busy pub kitchen. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong culinary skills and a genuine passion for South East Asian cuisine. You'll oversee all aspects of food production and preparation, creating high-quality dishes while leading and inspiring a small kitchen team. Daily rotating specials will be a key part of the role, so creativity and confidence are essential.
Responsibilities
Lead, supervise, and support the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient service.
Prepare and cook dishes with consistency, flavour, and excellent presentation.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and organisation in line with regulations.
Create and deliver exciting daily specials, showcasing authentic South East Asian flavours.
Mentor and train staff in culinary skills, food safety, and kitchen standards.
Manage stock, control costs, and order supplies effectively.
Work closely with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and a great customer experience.
Experience & Skills
Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar senior kitchen role.
Strong knowledge and experience in South East Asian food is essential.
Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team.
Solid understanding of food safety and kitchen best practices.
Organised, reliable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Previous experience in a pub or restaurant setting is highly desirable.
