The Role
We are recruiting for 2x Deputy Team Managers on a permanent basis within the Independent Living Service. One is full time (37 hours weekly) and one is part time (22.2 hours/3 days weekly).
The Independent Living Service (ILS), which incorporates the Discharge to Assess at Home Team, aims to promote the independence of disabled/sensory impaired residents of Bolton by offering assessments with a view to providing advice, rehabilitation, equipment and/or adaptations and long-term support. The ILS provides interventions including rehabilitation, equipment provision, home adaptations, telecare, and expert advice. The DTAH model enables timely hospital discharges by delivering rehabilitation and care assessments in individuals’ homes, supporting recovery, reducing hospital stays, and helping prevent readmissions.
Responsibilities
* Assist and support management within the services to lead and manage the teams, ensuring work is allocated effectively and completed efficiently.
* Support ongoing timely interactions/monitoring and flow through the service to minimize impact on other areas such as hospital and Home Support Reablement.
* Act as an important and integral part of the team, ensuring productivity while supporting staff and acting as a key contact for support and guidance.
* Input and participate in the wider Integration agenda and ensure the service and staff are represented and advocated for.
* Support staff within the ILS via supervision and consultation when required.
About You
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated individual who has a passion for working with people and strives to achieve the values and key principles of the organisation.
* Good communication skills with the ability to represent the service and staff confidently.
* A qualification of Degree in Occupational Therapy is preferred; related qualification and professional registration (as applicable) in an allied health role would also be considered (e.g., Degree in Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, or Nursing).
