Description

The Junior Project Manager will support the delivery of IT integration projects for newly acquired entities across the Dains Group. The role sits within the IT Projects function and works closely with technical engineers, service desk teams, external suppliers, and business stakeholders to ensure integration activity is planned, coordinated, and delivered effectively.

This role is suited to someone early in their project management career who has strong technical awareness and understands how IT systems, users, and dependencies interact during integrations. The focus is on practical delivery support, not theoretical project management.

Key Responsibilities

* Work with technical engineers to understand and map:
o System dependencies

Technical Coordination & Understanding
* Develop a working understanding of:
o Microsoft 365 environments (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive)
o User provisioning and identity concepts
o Endpoint provisioning and laptop builds
o Application and data migration concepts
* Act as a translator between technical teams and non‑technical stakeholders
* Support technical analysis and documentation activities where required
Stakeholder & Supplier Coordination

o External vendors and suppliers
o Acquired business stakeholders
* Support communication of:
o Cutover timelines
o User readiness activities
o Integration progress and impacts
* Ensure actions are followed up and delivery momentum is maintained
Hypercare & Transition to BAU
* Support the coordination of hypercare activity following migrations and cutovers
* Help track post‑migration issues, themes, and resolutions
* Support handover of integrated users and systems into BAU support
* Ensure lessons learned are captured to improve future integration

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

Essential
* Experience supporting IT or digital projects in a coordination or junior PM capacity
* Basic understanding of project management methodologies and delivery principles
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple moving parts
* Solid technical awareness within an IT environment (not necessarily hands‑on engineering)
* Confident communicator with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders
Desirable
* Experience supporting IT integration, migration, or transformation projects
* Exposure to Microsoft 365 or enterprise IT environments
* Familiarity with RAID logs, delivery plans, and dependency management
Personal Attributes
* Delivery‑focused and pragmatic
* Comfortable working in fast‑paced, change‑driven environments
* Able to learn quickly and adapt to new technical concepts
* Calm, organised, and reliable under pressure
* Understands that successful projects are measured by outcomes and adoption, not paperwork
