Rate of Pay: £17.24 - £23.12 per hour
Summary:
The Driver will provide safe, reliable, and timely transport for children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and vulnerable adults accessing social care services. This role is essential in ensuring service users travel comfortably and securely between home, school, day centres, and other designated locations. The driver will also be expected to work collaboratively with Passenger Assistants, families, carers, and council staff to deliver a high-quality, person-centred transport service.
Responsibilities:
* Transport children with SEN and vulnerable adults to and from schools, day centres, and other agreed destinations.
* Uphold safeguarding practices, ensuring the welfare and wellbeing of passengers is a priority.
* Represent the council in a professional and courteous manner when dealing with service users, parents, carers, and members of the public.
* Adhere to health and safety policies, safeguarding guidelines, and equal opportunities principles.
Essentials:
* Full UK driving licence
* Previous driving experience in a passenger transport setting (preferably SEN or Adult Social Care transport).
