Aramark UK are currently recruiting an experienced Chef Manager to join our team of 3 Staff working at British Antarctic Survey in Cambridge.
You will be responsible for overseeing the day to day running of the Unit, supporting our Chef preparing meals, delegating tasks to your team and leading your team to success.

This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week, (Mon - Fri) Shifts range between 8 a.m. and 4:30p.m. leaving your evenings free - a rarity when you work within culinary/hospitality.

A day in the life of a Chef Manager:
Hot and cold food production for the breakfast/salad bar and hot counter food service for both breakfast and lunchtime.
You will be organising and coordinating hospitality – alongside leading the team to ensure tasks are appropriately allocated and food preparation activities are delivered using standard recipes and in line with Aramark brand standards.
Placing orders and stock rotation, carrying out regular stock takes and completing the relevant back office paperwork.
Handle customer complaints as required.
Direct and coach team members to learn procedures and standards for all kitchen tasks, ensuring all training and development needs are met.
Build Client relationship and present monthly Operating and Financial performance.
Must be able to pass full security vetting and DBS checks
Good PC skills and working knowledge of Excel, Power Point and Word
Knowledge of financial processing and an understanding of P&L and stocktaking.
