About the role

Are you looking to start a rewarding career in the motor industry?

As a Trainee Service Advisor, you’ll learn how to deliver outstanding service to our customers while gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced dealership environment.

You’ll work alongside our experienced Service team, developing the skills needed to become a confident, professional Service Advisor. If you’re friendly, organised, and eager to learn, this could be the perfect opportunity to start your career journey with Wessex.

What you’ll be doing

As a Trainee, you’ll receive training and support to learn how to:

1. Support our customers: Greet and assist customers with their service and repair enquiries, ensuring they always receive a warm welcome.
2. Coordinate repairs: Work closely with the workshop team to understand how vehicles are booked in, serviced, and repaired.
3. Learn the systems: Get hands-on experience with our booking, invoicing, and customer management systems.
4. Understand vehicle repairs: Learn how to explain technical information to customers in a clear and friendly way.
5. Keep accurate records: Help maintain customer and vehicle information, including service histories.
6. Develop product knowledge: Discover our range of aftersales products and services so you can confidently make recommendations in the future.
7. Stay organised: Support the team in keeping the service diary and customer database up to date.

10. Good communicator: You can talk clearly and confidently with customers and colleagues.
11. Tech-savvy: Comfortable using computers and learning new systems.
12. Team player: You’re supportive, reliable, and ready to help out wherever needed.
13. Attention to detail: You take pride in getting things right.
14. Full UK driving licence: Required for this role.

Key information

15. Working pattern: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 6pm, 1 hour lunch (unpaid) plus every other Saturday 8:00am to 12:30pm
