Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking to recruit at Trust FY2 equivalent grade in their Acute Medicine Department from 05/08/2026 until 03/08/2027. This role is a Fixed Term 12 month Contract.
This post is based at Stoke Mandeville Hospital, but may require from cross site working at Wycombe and Amersham Hospitals.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be required to support the consultant led EMRU and AMU Team. This is a great opportunity to treat medical emergency patients in an outpatient setting. The role will include virtual ward rounds, clerking and treating patients including follow ups. There will be a close interaction with the nursing staff.
Workload will be shared amongst the junior team who are distributed within the Acute Team.
The post holder will be expected to prioritise and time-manage effectively according to the activity of the department and to utilise appropriately the available senior staff for advice.

•To have regular meetings with the Clinical Supervisor and have a yearly appraisal
•To follow Trust guidelines and pathways
•To actively participate in departmental teaching
•To reflect on clinical practice and use the e portfolio to demonstrate learning and progress
Administration and Management
The successful candidates are expected to help with the smooth running of the team and with the setting up of regular audit & clinical governance work.

Desirable criteria
12. 12 months general professional experience at SHO level in general and acute medicine.
Education, Qualifications & training

13. MBBS or equivalent
14. Completed Foundation Programme Year One
15. Registration with the GMC and licence to practice in the UK
16. Previous direct NHS experience as a Resident Doctor
Desirable criteria

18. MRCP Part 1
