Job Description
An exciting opportunity for an experienced Resource Manager to join a leading international law firm on an initial 12 month FTC.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Relationship Building: Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with internal partners to gain a deep understanding of their practice, pressure points, and resourcing needs. Keep this knowledge up-to-date.
2. Meeting Presence: Establish a strong Resource Management presence in key meetings and Partners’ meetings as necessary.
3. Reporting: Provide weekly utilisation and projected capacity reports to internal stakeholders as needed.
4. Utilisation Review: Monitor utilisation and overall hours (including chargeable and non-chargeable time) on a daily and weekly basis, flagging any areas of concern in real-time.
5. Fee Earner Engagement: Build excellent working relationships with the fee-earning population to understand pressure points, capacity, skill sets, and skill gaps. Assist in matching fee earners' preferences to available work where possible.
6. Skills Mapping: Understand and map the skills within the team (with the support of a new resource management tool), including identifying outstanding experience needs and understanding career aspirations.
