We're working with a well respected law firm who are looking for an experienced Real Estate Compliance Solicitor to join their team. This is a critical role where your expertise will directly impact the firm's compliance standards and the success of its fee earners.
You will play a key part in supporting the Real Estate department by handling high-risk and technical matters. This position involves working closely with the leadership team, providing guidance on complex files, and assisting with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) compliance. If you thrive on problem-solving and ensuring the highest standards of client care while managing risk effectively, this is the perfect opportunity for you.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Providing expert guidance and effective supervision on high-risk files within the Real Estate department.
* Assisting fee earners with technical queries and ensuring the firm's compliance and risk management procedures are accurately implemented.
* Working with line managers to refine processes that manage risk while maintaining efficiency.
* Providing support and advice on AML regulations and the firm’s internal AML Risk Policy.
* Assisting the Post Completions team with technical queries and Land Registry requisitions.
* Identifying, managing, reducing, and removing risk across the department.
The ideal candidate will have:
* A passion for compliance, risk management, and problem-solving.
* 3-4 years PQE as a solicitor, with experience in real estate.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* A high level of initiative and a solutions-focused mindset.
* The ability to manage complex issues and work effectively under pressure.
* Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
