Overview
The Adult Autism Service is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Part‑time Band 6 Specialist Nurse, Occupational Therapist, or Speech and Language Therapist to support our Lead Assessors in providing diagnostic and assessment services for adults who are believed to need an assessment for autism.
Responsibilities
* Conduct assessments and gather/co‑ordinate information to determine if an individual has an autism diagnosis and identify relevant traits.
* Use expertise to educate, advise, and consult with the wider workforce and partner agencies to improve services for autistic people.
* Deliver face‑to‑face assessments and follow‑up appointments at the local Autism Hub in Macclesfield as part of a hybrid working model.
* Provide educational and consultative support across the CWP footprint, including workshops in Wirral, Cheshire West and Cheshire East.
Location and Working Arrangements
The official base for this role will be at Eastway, with opportunities for hybrid working involving both on‑site and remote work.
Training and Development
All new starters will commence in post on a fixed start date each month, aligned with the Prepare to Care (P2C) induction programme. P2C offers up to 3 weeks of training to help new staff meet the induction and initial training requirements of the role.
