Job Description:
OVERALL PURPOSE OF ROLE: (brief overview of key focus of position)
1. Monitor the occurrence reporting system, investigate and summarise report, ensure timely submission of Mandatory Occurrence reports and compile trend data for internal and external stakeholders.
2. Allocate and monitor internal BESAFE Desktop, Technical and Full investigations
3. Support with hosting Event Review and Safety Action Groups
4. Create and publish safety related communications (newsletters, Flashes, Lessons Learned, Safety Reports, SPI’S and ensure effective dissemination across the organisation and into the Authority.
5. Assist in preparing Safety Action Group and Safety Review Board powerpoint packs, proactively take minutes, assign actions and follow up to closure.
6. Support management in reviewing safety actions, Risk Assessments and Management of Change events.
7. Proactively gather and update the safety performance indicators for the safety management system
8. Compile both internal and external (client) reports with safety related data
9. Update and maintain the ERT Tracker.
10. Assist in developing new safety information system functionality and reports
11. Support with the oversight of the company suppliers and non-conformance reports.
12. Assist with preparation and participate in internal and external audits.
13. Assist the Health and Safety team with the monitoring and management Workieva environmental/waste platform and associated tracking documents
14. Correct allocation of health, eye protection, VDU and hearing protection vouchers
15. Manage all Operational, Maintenance, Ground Ops and Hazard safety reports to closure and have oversight of month ends.
16. Support the local Safety Champions with the monthly GPI forms
17. Conduct Monthly Safety walkarounds at the Aberdeen Base.
18. Collate and upload Management Base Visit Reports to the safety system
19. Coordinate the Search and Rescue quarterly Flight Safety Meeting schedule and proactively manage the creation of the meeting powerpoint pack and closure of actions
20. Actively promote a positive Safety Culture through research, safety promotion initiatives, and regular updates to base safety noticeboards.
21. Carry out data analysis, trending, and visualisation to support evidence-based decision making
22. Maintain effective liaison with aircraft manufacturers’ safety departments, regulators, and other external stakeholders as required.

24. Assisting Flight Safety Officers in their duties and the provision of training through the UKFSC and other agencies.

Technical Requirement
25. Previous experience working in an aviation Safety & Compliance environment
26. Familiar with ICAOs Four Pillars of Safety
27. Able to intelligently extract data and present graphically
28. Ability to interface with internal and external customers at all levels
29. Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to achieve deadlines consistently
30. Good verbal and written Communication Skills
31. Excellent IT skills with the ability to input and output data quickly and efficiently
32. Flexibility and ability to travel is essential periods of up to one week, at least once per month

33. Recognised academic qualification in a relevant discipline
