Social Worker - Family Safeguarding Team
Join Birmingham City Council as a Social Worker in the Family Safeguarding Team.
* Grade C- £35,412 - £44,075
* Golden Hello payment £1,000 (upon external appointment) and £5,000 per annum (Recruitment & Retention Payment)
* Consultation grade subject to formal evaluation under the Pay Equity Review
* Working hours 36.5 hours per week
* Contract type Permanent
Responsibilities
As a qualified social worker, you will:
* Conduct Safeguarding Section 42 Enquiries and carry out social work functions within the legislative framework.
* Produce reports and provide support, guidance and interventions to children and families.
* Manage a caseload and deliver services under required timeframes with resilience and accuracy.
* Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and partner organisations.
Qualifications & Experience
* Qualified and registered with Social Work England.
* Demonstrable social work experience, with the ability to work positively as part of a team and in partnership with other stakeholders.
* Leadership abilities and a commitment to working in a multidisciplinary setting.
* Experience or enthusiasm for safeguarding work preferred.
