Valerian Court Care Home is based in Didcot, Oxfordshire, offering exceptional standards of Nursing, Residential, Dementia, and Respite care for 70 residents.
We are seeking a Housekeeping Assistant who will make a tangible difference in the lives of our residents by creating a clean and welcoming environment that supports their well-being. Your attention to detail and commitment to high hygiene standards will be crucial in maintaining a pleasant living space. What We Offer

What You Will Do
You will provide thorough domestic cleaning services within the care home, adhering to company policies and best practices. You will perform all cleaning tasks in line with hygiene standards, ensuring a safe and sanitary environment. Your duties will include cleaning and protecting various floor surfaces such as carpets and hard floors, maintaining furniture, fixtures, and fittings, and replenishing sanitary supplies. You will manage waste removal and clean vertical surfaces safely without using access equipment. Supporting residents’ daily well-being by helping them settle into their new environment will also be part of your role. Additionally, you will manage laundry services effectively, ensuring safe handling and correct labelling of personal belongings. Following health and safety protocols, infection prevention measures, and fire safety regulations will be essential. You will collaborate closely with other staff to maintain high standards of cleanliness and laundry services throughout the home.
