Description This is an opportunity to join the Finance Function for 24 months to lead and shape our UniFi (Unleashing Innovation in Finance) programme. This is a new role and opportunity in the Future Capability and Operations team (part of Finance) and UniFi is our programme that is bringing multiple finance improvements into one, single cohesive initiative. As the UniFi Senior Business Manager, you will be responsible for driving the programme forward, ensuring all the workstreams are clear on their outcomes and delivery roadmap. You will ensure there is clear governance that enables delivery, unlocks challenges and engages the necessary stakeholders, including the Finance Leadership Team. Collaboratively bringing together UniFi work stream leads from cross the Function to develop and help execute against roadmaps, delivery plans and communicate progress against those. A highly organised and proactive individual with strong interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills, you will also possess the ability to tailor communication to different audiences and be a natural at building credibility with stakeholders across multiple functions. Responsibilities What you’ll be doing You’ll be responsible for a variety of programme related activities. Leading on the creation, coordination and management of delivery roadmaps, engaging the right stakeholders and driving the creation and maintenance of local processes to ensure communication and engagement is efficient and effective across the Function. You will help set appropriate delivery methodologies for teams in conjunction with the Function leads and will assist and lead on delivery related decisions to maintain pace against agreed priorities and schedule. We need you to support the collation and analysis of various data points and utilising this to shape strategic, consistent, timely and high-quality communications regarding change and delivery for Finance, including delivery plans and roadmaps. You will work closely with colleagues in Finance but also will engage with other stakeholders within the Society to ensure we deliver on our ambitious UniFi roadmap. You will represent Finance on inter-departmental forums as required and interact with Function Leaders around the business. About you To be successful in this role, you will have: Experience of gathering information from various sources, preparing and presenting this to audiences at differing levels, including ExCo level, whilst demonstrating the ability to adapt the content to the relevant audience Experience of senior stakeholder engagement across multiple teams and leadership groups Knowledge of key Finance data and systems would be preferred Experience of prioritising multiple work streams, ensuring tight deadlines are met Problem-solving skills and be used to working autonomously Excellent communication, technical, analytical, interpersonal, and influencing skills to forge productive and proactive relationships across the Organisation Advanced problem-solving skills, with an ability to think laterally and see connections between processes and challenges A successful track record in operational and change management Knowledge of The Society’s Change Frameworks and supporting technology such as Jira and Confluence Our customer first behaviours put customers and members at the heart of how we work together.
