Job Summary
Electrical Supervisor at HMP Hollesley Bay, a category D Adult/Male prison. Position is permanent, full‑time (39 hours per week Monday to Sunday) with competitive salary of £46,775.42 per annum plus 5 % additional for weekend working.
Responsibilities
Lead and supervise electricians, plan and deliver electrical maintenance tasks, support a multidisciplinary team of plumbers, carpenters, painters, cleaners, and administrators, and ensure a safe, secure environment for all.
Qualifications & Experience
* NVQ Level 3 qualified Electrician
* Five years’ experience as an electrician or equivalent
* Experience on commercial or industrial electrical, building services
* Experience supervising staff
* Full driving licence (preferably D1)
* Certifications: C&G 2367 or 2357 (Electrical Installation) and NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations or equivalent; Certificate in BS7671 – The Requirements for Electrical Installations (17th or 18th Edition)
* Good Health & Safety knowledge
* Excellent organisational, time‑management and people skills
