We are recruiting on behalf of a rapidly growing manufacturing business that is seeking a commercially driven Head of Sales/ Sales Manager Contract Manufacturing to lead customer acquisition and revenue growth within its non-food liquids division. Following significant investment in a new high-capacity production line, the business is now looking for an ambitious sales leader to drive new contract manufacturing partnerships and maximise utilisation of this capability. The company currently manufactures a range of non-food liquid products, including household chemicals, cleaning liquids, and fragrance misters. This is a highly hands-on commercial role, ideal for someone who thrives on winning new business, building a strong pipeline, and converting manufacturing capability into long-term customer relationships. The objective is clear: fill production capacity, scale the customer base, and support the case for further expansion. The Opportunity This role is well suited to a strong business developer or sales leader with experience selling contract manufacturing or outsourced production services to brands, distributors, product owners, or commercial buyers. The business already has the technical capability, operational expertise, and manufacturing infrastructure in place. What is now required is a commercially focused leader with the energy and pace to generate new opportunities, secure volume contracts, and maximise use of the newly installed production line. Key Responsibilities Lead commercial activity for the contract manufacturing division across non-food liquids Identify, target, and win new customers to maximise utilisation of the new production line Build and manage a strong pipeline of new business opportunities across relevant sectors Develop relationships with brand owners, distributors, importers, and product-led businesses requiring outsourced filling and packaging Manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting and lead generation through to quotation, negotiation, and contract close Work closely with operations and technical teams to ensure opportunities are commercially viable and deliverable Contribute to the development of the companys commercial proposition, go-to-market strategy, and customer targeting approach Track pipeline performance, sales activity, and conversion rates against agreed targets Support customer onboarding and handover into operational delivery Provide market insights and customer feedback to inform future investment and capacity planning Candidate Profile We are looking for a commercially focused candidate with a proven track record of winning new business in a B2B environment. The ideal candidate will bring: Experience in sales, business development, or commercial leadership roles A demonstrated ability to generate and convert new business opportunities Confidence selling service-based or manufacturing-based propositions Strong commercial awareness, including understanding of margin, capacity utilisation, and customer fit Experience managing multiple opportunities across different stages of the sales pipeline A proactive, results-driven mindset with the ability to build momentum quickly The ability to work effectively with both customers and internal operational teams Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills Relevant Backgrounds We welcome candidates from a range of relevant sectors, including: Contract manufacturing Filling and packing services Private label manufacturing Chemicals or household products Cleaning products Home fragrance Aerosols, liquids, or adjacent packaging formats B2B manufacturing sales Industrial or technical sales into product-based sectors Direct experience across all product categories is not essential.
