I am working with a long‑established construction and civil engineering leader delivering some of the UK and Ireland’s most ambitious projects, from major marine and infrastructure works toplexmercial and industrial builds.
Your new role
Reporting to the Head of Health and Safety, the Health and Safety Advisor will provide support and guidance to the project team.
1. Promotion of our health and safety ethos and culture at all levels within thepany and with our Subcontractors.
2. Ensure working practices are safe andply with relevant legislation.
3. Review Subcontractor documentation including safe systems of works.
4. Assist in the preparation of health and safety strategies and in the development of internal policies and procedures.
5. Lead and deliver health & safety initiatives.
6. Assist in the in-house training of managers and employees.
7. Carry out regular site inspections to ensure policies and procedures are being fully implemented.
8. Carry out accident / incident investigations.
What you'll need to succeed
The successful Health and Safety Advisor will possess the following essential qualities:
9. Professionally qualified within Health and Safety field (NEBOSH/NCRQ, BSc or MSc in Safety).
10. Proven track record as an operational Health and Safety Advisor within the Construction industry.
11. Thorough knowledge of current Health and Safety legislation.
12. Accident and incident investigation experience.
13. Excellent oral and writtenmunication skills.
14. Ability to work as part of a team and to positively influence others.
15. IT literate.
16. CSCS Card.
