20 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
Post 1: Working Mon, Tues 8.30am to 5.00pm and Weds 8.30am to 12.30pm
Post 2: Working Weds 1.00pm to 5.00pm, Thurs and Fri 8.30am to 5.00pm
We are looking for candidates to join our friendly and dedicated Student Support Services team. As the first point of contact for all college visitors you will embody our college values and put people at the heart of the service, greeting learners and visitors. You will be customer focused and committed to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for all and support the delivery of an excellent student experience. Key Responsibilities
* Provide a high-quality, customer focussed reception service to all users of Northern College.
* Deal with all enquiries to the college, in-person, via telephone, email and any digital systems such as webchat.
* Carry out tasks relating to course enrolment and residential check-in including the production of ID badges, allocation of bedrooms, preparing and issuing room keys.
* Check all student finance travel claims, ensuring all aspects of the form are completed and processed according to guidelines.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
* Knowledge and understanding of effective customer service and techniques for dealing with a diverse range of customer situations
* Experience of working in a student facing support service within an educational setting.
* Experience of dealing with customer enquiries via a variety of methods including telephone, in person and email.
* GCSE English and maths (Grade C/4) or equivalent level qualification.
