We regularly receive HIAB requirements from our clients and want to have reliable, competent drivers ready to go when those bookings land.

At Driver Hire Cambridge, we don’t just book drivers in and hope for the best. We’ve actually done the work ourselves, driven the wagons, worked the yards, delivered to the sites… so we know what a good HIAB job looks like.
When you work with us, you won’t be handed a postcode and wished good luck. We’ll meet you on site, walk you through the vehicle, introduce you to the client and make sure you’re comfortable before you crack on.
Simple rule: if we wouldn’t do the job ourselves, we won’t ask you to.

1. Position: Class 2 (Category C) HIAB Driver
2. Location: CB postcode area
3. Pay: Excellent, competitive rates
4. Paid weekly (PAYE)
You’ll be delivering building materials to sites across the area, using a HIAB to offload safely and professionally. Our clients are well-known local builders’ merchants who value drivers that know their kit and take pride in the job.

🧾 What You’ll Need
9. Category C (Class 2) licence
10. HIAB certification (brick grab and/or hook ideal)
11. Valid CPC card
12. Digital tachograph card
13. Clear spoken and written English
14. A professional, can-do attitude

15. Delivering building materials safely and on time
16. Operating a HIAB with confidence and care
17. Completing vehicle checks and paperwork
18. Being a friendly, reliable face on site
