If you are a confident leader, highly organised, and passionate about improving lives, this could be the perfect next step in your career.</p><h3>What we offer:</h3><ul><li>28 days holiday inclusive of bank holidays</li><li>Additional annual leave at key career milestones</li><li>Benenden Health plan for added peace of mind</li><li>£500 employee referral scheme</li><li>Company pension to support your future</li><li>Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) wellbeing support</li><li>Life assurance at 2x annual salary</li><li>Overtime opportunities</li><li>Blue Light Card access with discounts on retail, travel, and leisure</li><li>Paid training and access to recognised qualifications to support career progression</li><li>Fully funded apprenticeships</li><li>Clear development pathways and opportunities to progress within the organisation</li></ul><h3>What the role involves:</h3><p>As a Deputy Manager, you’ll support the Registered Manager with the overall running of the service, ensuring safe, effective and high-quality care delivery.</p><p>This includes:</p><ul><li>Supporting the day-to-day running of the home and deputising for the Registered Manager when required</li><li>Leading shifts and ensuring high standards of care delivery</li><li>Managing and supporting Team Leaders and Support Workers</li><li>Overseeing rotas, staffing levels, and shift planning</li><li>Supporting care plans, risk assessments, audits, medication systems, and compliance</li><li>Managing incidents, safeguarding concerns, and escalation procedures</li><li>Ensuring accurate record keeping, reporting, and documentation</li><li>Working with external professionals, families, and local authorities</li><li>Supporting transitions and new admissions into the service</li><li>Carrying out audits across financial, medication, health & safety, and environmental areas</li><li>Driving performance, quality standards, and continuous improvement</li><li>Supporting recruitment, onboarding, and staff development</li><li>Carrying out supervisions, appraisals, and performance management</li><li>Overseeing training compliance and mandatory training completion (including NAPPI)</li></ul><h3>Working pattern:</h3><p>This is a 40-hour full-time role, split between 20 hours on the floor delivering hands‑on support and 20 hours dedicated to administrative and leadership duties.</p><p>The service operates 24/7, and you will work flexibly across a rota, including weekdays, weekends, evenings, and on-call responsibilities where required.</p><h3>What we’re looking for:</h3><ul><li>We welcome applications from experienced Deputy Managers, strong Team Leaders ready to step up, or Senior Support Workers with leadership experience.</li><li>You may be a great fit if you have:</li><li>Experience supporting adults with complex needs in a leadership role</li><li>Strong knowledge of care planning, risk management, and safeguarding</li><li>Experience managing staff, rotas, and operational service delivery</li><li>Confidence in decision‑making and problem‑solving in fast‑paced environments</li><li>Strong communication and organisational skills</li><li>Experience with audits, compliance, and quality assurance (desirable)</li><li>A calm, resilient and person‑centred leadership style</li><li>A genuine passion for developing teams and improving lives</li><li>A Level 3 or Level 5 qualification in Health & Social Care (or equivalent) is desirable.</li></ul><p>Dignus Group is a Disability Confident employer.
