Are you reliable, hardworking, and ready to roll up your sleeves in one of Rochdale’s most iconic venues? Rochdale Town Hall is seeking enthusiastic Casual Kitchen Porters to join our kitchen team and help keep operations running smoothly behind the scenes.
About the Role
As a Kitchen Porter, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining cleanliness and efficiency in our kitchen. From dishwashing to assisting with food prep, your work will help ensure our chefs and catering team can deliver top-quality service for events, functions, and day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Clean all kitchen areas as directed by the chefs
* Maintain hygiene standards in food storage areas (fridges, freezers)
* Receive and organise kitchen deliveries
* Wash dishes, cutlery, pots, pans, and other kitchenware
* Assist chefs with basic food prep (e.g., peeling, chopping, washing ingredients)
* Clean and organise tableware from the restaurant and event spaces
* Support with refuse disposal within the building
* Participate in monthly deep cleans of the kitchen
Who We’re Looking For
* A team player with a strong work ethic
* Able to follow instructions and work efficiently under pressure
* Physically fit and comfortable with manual tasks
* Previous kitchen or cleaning experience is a plus, but not essential
