Overview

Configuration Technical Administrator role at SCC.

Location: Birmingham - James House. SCC operate hybrid working, which comprises a mix of office and home working.

Contract Type: Permanent

Salary Package: Competitive salary plus large company benefits, a broad flexible benefits scheme, and 2 paid-for volunteering days a year

Hours: 9.00 am – 5.30 pm Monday – Friday

Role Purpose

To transition customers IT build solutions and provide both customers and internal clients with ongoing administration support for configuration services, within the configuration centre.


Key Responsibilities

* Transition customer solutions into the configuration centre within the agreed Service Level Agreement (SLA). Liaise with Customers and Group IT to set up Virtual Private Network (VPN) connections into the facility.
* Support and maintain the Configuration Centre's internal infrastructure. Carry out patchwork activity for new customers and implement changes to existing infrastructure.
* Monitor and complete tasks to the SLA.
* Create and technically vet procedures for all new customer solutions within the SLA. Provide day-to-day internal support to operational teams within SCC.
* Ensure all day-to-day office duties are completed to business standards and maintain a 3-day SLA as per ISO20000 accreditation.
* Adhere to the configuration centre ISO accreditation standards that support this role/function.
* Comply with all Health and Safety requirements within the Configuration Centre.
* Create Specific Production Data Acquisition (PDA) projects to capture customer data and create asset reports with IT, conforming to customer agreed standards.
* Technical vetting of configuration orders prior to scheduling.
* Liaise with PS and Salesforce around BAU and Project accounts. Escalate issues regarding SLA and Production to the management team.


Skills And Experience

* Strong communication and presentation skills.
* Strong administrative skills.
* Knowledge of multiple hardware/vendors (Desktops/Laptops/Servers, HP/Lenovo, etc.).
* Knowledge of IT products; accreditations such as MCSE, MCP are desirable.
* CompTIA Server+ (Advantageous) or demonstrable ability/experience handling IT equipment in a similar role.
* Understanding of network processes, ISO processes & procedures.
* Ability to follow documented procedures with precision and in a timely manner.
* Must be able to obtain Government and/or Police Security Levels required to meet operational requirements of the role (no caveats) as per customer contracts.
