A welcoming primary/secondary school in Hertford is seeking a caring and committed SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible.
Duties as a SEND Teaching Assistant:
* Provide 1:1 or small-group support for pupils with a range of additional needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social–emotional challenges.
* Assist the class teacher in planning and adapting lessons to meet individual learning plans (EHCPs).
* Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment and encourage independence.
* Monitor progress and provide regular feedback to teachers, parents/carers, and the SENDCo.
Ideal SEND Teaching Assistant:
* Experience working with children in a school or childcare setting (SEND experience is desirable but not essential).
* Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills as a SEND Teaching Assistant.
* Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external agencies.
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils.
