The Role
As a Cost Engineer, you’ll be responsible for the development, control, and monitoring of project budgets, ensuring robust cost management and financial forecasting throughout the project lifecycle. Key responsibilities include:
* Preparing detailed cost estimates and forecasts
* Managing project budgets and tracking expenditure
* Producing regular cost reports for stakeholders and clients
* Supporting risk analysis and contingency planning
* Ensuring compliance with cost control procedures and standards
* Working closely with planning and commercial teams to support project delivery
The Person
To be considered for the role of Cost Engineer, you will need:
* Experience in a cost engineering role within a complex engineering or infrastructure project
* Proficiency with cost management tools and techniques (e.g., Prism, EcoSys, Excel)
* Excellent understanding of cost control principles and earned value management
* Background in the nuclear or highly regulated sector is highly advantageous
* Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
