About the Role:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to patients in a variety of settings, including care homes and home care environments. Your primary focus will be on assisting individuals with daily living activities while ensuring their comfort and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a genuine desire to help others.
Duties
* Assist patients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
* Support individuals in maintaining their daily routines and adhering to care plans.
* Monitor and document patients’ health status, reporting any changes to the healthcare team.
* Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for patients.
* Assist with mobility and transportation needs, including driving patients as required.
* Maintain a clean and safe environment for both patients and staff.
* Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in home care or a similar healthcare setting is preferred.
* Strong IT skills for maintaining patient records and documentation.
* Proficient in English, both spoken and written, to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
* Understanding of care plans and the ability to follow them accurately.
* A valid Full UK Driving licence is mandator.
* Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to empathise with patients’ needs.
