The Trust currently has an exciting opportunity within the Children and Young People’s (CYP) Services for a Business Manager.
We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and motivated individual to support the operational and business functions of our CYP services, helping us to deliver high-quality care to children, young people and their families across Buckinghamshire.
The Business Manager will work closely with the Service and General Managers to ensure services run efficiently and effectively, providing leadership and support to administrative and clinical teams. The role will involve overseeing day-to-day operations, analysing performance and financial data, supporting project development, and ensuring the delivery of key service and quality targets.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys problem-solving, teamwork and service improvement, and who is keen to make a real difference to the lives of children and young people.
The postholder will be based at Amersham Hospital, with some cross-site working as required to support services delivered across Buckinghamshire.
Main duties of the job
1. Support the Service and General Managers with the day-to-day operational management of Children and Young People’s Services.
2. Oversee business and administrative functions to ensure services run efficiently and meet performance, quality and financial targets.
3. Produce and analyse performance reports, supporting data accuracy and timely submission to stakeholders.
4. Lead and support service improvement projects to enhance patient experience and operational delivery.
5. Manage and support administrative staff, ensuring effective communication and teamwork across service areas.
6. Deputise for the Service and General Managers when required, representing the service at meetings and supporting key decisions.

7. Educated to degree level or equivalent.
8. A willingness to undertake further training as required

9. Project management qualification or experience of managing projects.

10. Significant experience of the NHS.
11. Experience of using hospital systems (e.g. RiO, Careflow) and Microsoft Office packages.
12. Experience in gathering and analysing complex information with the ability to communicate complex issues both in writing and verbally.
13. Experience of managing contracts and maintaining records relating to contracts.
14. Experience of financial management and budgets.
15. Experience of waiting list management.
16. Experience of working on and leading projects.
17. Experience of line managing administrative and support colleagues
