Job Requirements
Responsible for completing planned, preventative and reactive maintenance tasks and improvement work using effective problem-solving and trouble shooting as directed by the Project and Improvement Engineer. To provide feedback on completed tasks, root cause and follow-up work.
Rotational shifts-3 x 12hr shifts per week (Monday-Saturday)
Responsibilities
* Attend breakdowns and ensure downtime is kept to a minimum
* Undertake planned maintenance in accordance with the agreed schedule
* Monitor and record downtime for improvement purposes
* Perform basic troubleshooting of control systems circuitry
* Enter accurate, detailed feedback on all ongoing and completed tasks into the planned maintenance system system on a daily basis.
* Identify and source / obtain required parts, supplies and repair items as required
* Maintain equipment and repair / replace as required
Qualifications/ Experience
* At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment – preferably within a textile / similar environment
* Formal apprenticeship or equivalent in relevant field (electrical or mechanical) e.g. HND/HNC
* C&G 17th Edition qualification / equivalent mechanical qualification
* Multi-skilled
* Ability to analyse and solve complex problems
* Flexible in approach and attitude to work
* Ability to work effectively in a team and on own initiative
* Excellent communications skills
* Competent IT skills including outlook, windows and excel
