Position Overview
Health, Safety & Environmental Manager to lead HSE strategy across major UK water frameworks for a principal contractor, overseeing projects exceeding £60m.
Location
Southern Region & North Home Counties.
Compensation & Benefits
£70,000-£75,000 base salary with flexible options for exceptional candidates, company car or £5,500 car allowance, up to 10% bonus, 28 days holiday plus bank holidays with purchase option, private medical (family option), enhanced pension scheme, and professional development support.
Responsibilities
* Lead framework-wide health, safety, and environmental performance.
* Coach and develop HSE team members (Advisors to Senior Advisors).
* Collaborate with senior stakeholders including Head of HSE, Regional Ops Directors, and Framework MDs.
* Use data to drive performance, spot trends and implement improvements.
* Work 2 days from home, 2 days in either Rickmansworth or Southampton offices, and 1 day on site or flex.
Qualifications & Experience
* NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent.
* Experience managing teams in a tier 1 civils or MEICA environment.
* Strong stakeholder engagement from site teams to senior leadership.
* Demonstrable success improving safety culture and performance.
* Background in water, utilities, MEICA, or groundworks.
