The Role:
We're looking for a creative and detail-oriented Web Design Officer to join our Communications team. Reporting to the Senior Web Design Officer, you'll play a key role in shaping the digital experience for our statutory and income-generating services. You'll be responsible for planning, developing, and managing web content, with a strong focus on accessibility and user experience.
What you'll do:
* Design and publish engaging, accessible webpages using HTML, CSS and the Sitecore Content Management System
* Collaborate with designers and campaign and brand officers to bring creative concepts to life
* Develop wireframes and visual layouts using digital design tools to support page structure and user journeys
* Use SEO principles, data, and analytics to refine content and improve performance of webpages
* Ensure seamless functionality across devices and browsers
* Maintain high visual standards and compliance with WCAG and brand guidelines
What we're looking for:
* Proven experience in web content creation and web page design using HTML and CSS, with a portfolio of web design work demonstrating your skills
* Strong expertise in applying accessibility standards (WCAG) in practice, including the use of semantic HTML and accessibility attributes
* A proactive, detail-oriented mindset with a flair for creativity
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills
* Proficiency in Sitecore, GA4, and Office 365
