About the role
We’re recruiting a Senior PMO Manager – Portfolio Planner to own and maintain an integrated, rolling change portfolio roadmap, ensuring it stays strategically aligned, realistically sequenced, and deliverable within known enterprise constraints.
This role provides clear transparency on the UK Change Portfolio, its phasing, key dependencies and constraints, enabling leadership to make evidence‑based decisions on what we deliver, when, and why.
Key responsibilities
* Connect strategy, enterprise architecture and delivery demand into a coherent roadmap, ensuring it’s maintained and adopted as the single enterprise view of change.
* Mobilise initiatives that demonstrate alignment to strategy and target‑state architecture; challenge or reshape misaligned or premature demand before governance approvals.
* Identify, model, and communicate key portfolio constraints such as capacity, technology and architectural limits, change saturation and organisational readiness; surface cross‑portfolio dependencies and critical path risks.
* Lead modelling analysis and recommendations on phasing, sequencing, and pacing of initiatives, reducing unplanned or reactive re‑sequencing.
* Communicate concise, decision‑ready recommendations to senior stakeholders.
Qualifications and experience
Significant experience in senior PMO, portfolio management, or enterprise planning roles within complex organisations; proven skill as an enterprise portfolio strategist and insight‑led planner.
