Job Description
As Assistant Accountant, you will support the finance function across day-to-day accounting activities, month-end processes, reporting, and reconciliations. You will work closely with senior finance staff and gain exposure to a broad range of accounting responsibilities.
3. Assisting with month-end and year-end processes
4. Preparing bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations
5. Processing journals, accruals, and prepayments
6. Supporting accounts payable and receivable activities
7. Assisting with VAT returns and financial reporting
8. Maintaining accurate financial records and spreadsheets
9. Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes
10. Assisting with audits and compliance requirements
11. Identifying opportunities to improve finance processes and controls
The Successful Applicant
12. Around 2 years' experience within a finance or accounts role
13. AAT qualified or currently studying CIMA/AAT
14. Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills
15. Confident using Excel and accounting systems
16. Eager to learn and progress within an accounting career
17. Positive attitude with strong communication skills
18. Able to work independently and as part of a team
