As we continue our journey toward becoming Ireland’s most trusted and sustainable business, we have an exciting opportunity for a successful candidate to join our team as an HR Business Partner: Employee Relations, to join our HR Team.
What you’ll be Doing
As HR Business Partner: Industrial Relations, Dargan, you will be part of the Employee Relations and Policy Centre of Excellence (COE). The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
* As a key member of the ER & Policy team, work in tandem with COE colleagues in ensuring that COE support to the Dargan Distribution Centre is effective.
* Assume responsibility for developing and implementing effective Industrial Relations policies and practices at our Dargan Distribution Centre, including Transport.
* Support Supply Chain Management, Head of HR Supply Chain, and relevant HRBPs in ensuring a positive and partnership focused IR landscape at Dargan, is fostered and retained.
* Lead on negotiations with the trade union at Dargan, as required, to deliver positive commercial outcomes.
* Manage all third-party referrals at the Dargan site.
* Lead on the people aspects of change management initiatives, as required, at Dargan.
* Provide direct support to the Head of HR Supply Chain, HR Business Partners, and managers, on all IR policy and procedure issues acting as a ‘subject matter expert’, to ensure consistency at Dargan.
* Support in the upskilling of Line Managers and local HR at Dargan on IR best practice.
* Ensure a coordinated and consistent case management of IR matters at Dargan.
* Maintain and supporting effective, solutions focused and trustworthy partnerships with all external bodies, trade unions and relevant agencies.
* As a member of the ER&P COE, contribute to key engagements events with with relevant HR practitioners and managers, through HR Fora, Webinars and workshops.
* Support with key strategic projects as required.
* Support HR projects and other HR work, as required.
What we’re looking for
* 5 years+ experience in industrial relations role or in a HR role with a focus on industrial relations and employee relations and in a fast-paced environment.
* Experience in leading negotiations with trade unions.
* Experience in third part representations.
* Ability to solve problems in a fast-moving environment and through communicating with others.
* Work well as a part of a team.
* Flexible approach, with ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
* Self-motivated and able to work on initiative.
* Excellent written, communication and presentation skills.
* Strong analytical and computer skills in all areas of Microsoft Office.
* Consistent work methodology and strong attention to detail.
* Ability to engage and support a harmonious environment at all levels.
* Degree in HR/Business/Law or related discipline or equivalent.
* Full clean driving licence.
