Job summary
Kingswood Medical Centre in Basildon is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic receptionist to join our busy, well-established team on a part-time basis for 20-24 hours per week, working on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.
We seek a receptionist to help make a positive impact on our local community by joining our practice team.
Main duties of the job
* Greet patients politely and ensure the appointment system runs efficiently.
* Answer incoming calls, transfer calls, or handle requests appropriately and promptly.
* Signpost patients to the appropriate service.
* Respond to queries and requests for assistance from patients and visitors.
* Enter and book home visits with all relevant information.
* Explain practice arrangements to new and temporary patients.
* Accept registration forms from prospective patients, adhering to practice policies, including online requests.
* Process incoming and outgoing mail.
* Manage administrative queries, tasks, and results efficiently and timely.

We are a GMS non-dispensing practice caring for approximately 10,500 patients, operating from modern premises. Part of Mid and South Essex ICB and West Basildon Primary Care Network (PCN), we are committed to high-quality patient care supported by a cohesive team.
Rated as CQC Good and a high QOF achieving practice, our team includes 2 GP Partners, 5 salaried GPs, ANPs, practice nurses, HCAs, and support staff from our PCN, including Pharmacists, MH practitioners, and a home visiting service.
Our admin team includes receptionists, secretaries, workflow, and prescriptions clerks. We are a SystmOne practice with regular staff meetings.
