Job Summary

The role-holder will be required to support all operational activity with emphasis on the service delivery of all guest interactions and events. They will not have line management responsibilities but will be required to supervise shift team members with the ability to handle management situations as they arise. The role will support the Heads of Department by providing updates, making recommendations for changes, and assisting with business activity as needed.

The role will oversee the service delivery to guests and customers of the Hall whilst acting as management representation when needed. Delivering exceptional service the Duty Managers will assist with the co ordination and management of the shifts across all departments ensuring full compliance is being met at all times.

This is a full-time position: variable on a rota basis 5 out of 7 days, including weekend, evenings and public holidays.

Responsibilities

* Be the responsible person in the event of an emergency situation acting as first responder.
* Leads the team during services and provides customer liaison to maintain an appropriate level of organisation and customer service.
* Act as first point of contact for all FOH related queries, issues or incidents
* Provide guidance and support to FOH and service staff during shift periods.
* Attend to any customer difficulty, grievance, or complaint whilst on duty and be empowered to make decisions to remedy any immediate issues
* Monitor daily task completion (handovers, checklist etc) and address any gaps
* Maintains standards of customer service to ensure customer satisfaction with regards to accommodation, food and beverage services.
* Maintains and controls standards of health, hygiene, safety and conduct in food and beverage service areas to ensure appropriate standards are complied with.
* Acts as the responsible person in the absence of the General Manager, applying emergency and safety protocols in the event of an incident / emergency.
* Acts as the management representative in the handling of customer situations and interactions, in the absence of the General Manager.

Qualifications

* Experience Experience of Supervisory / Duty Management role within a hospitality setting.
* Experience of Events / Food and Beverage service.
* Experience of Property Management and Point of Sales system in a hospitality environment.
* Ability to deal with emergency situations as the responsible person.
* Report writing skills.
* Problem solving and decision-making capability
* Complaint handling skills.
* Good general education with practical experience in a similar role.
* IOSH / NEBOSH Certification.
* Basic Food Hygiene.
* Additional Requirements Detail-oriented mindset with a strong focus on delivering exceptional customer service.
* Ability to work calmly under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
* Flexible approach to shift and weekend / Bank Holiday working.
