Area Sales Manager – Transicon Limited (Made in Group)
Transicon Limited is a UK‑based provider of bespoke industrial automation solutions, designing, building and supporting electrical control systems and custom production machinery across a wide range of sectors including manufacturing, automotive, food and beverage, metals, utilities and recycling.
Company Overview
Transicon delivers end‑to‑end solutions from electrical and mechanical design to full systems integration, incorporating PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, drives, robotics and Industry 4.0 technologies. The firm also provides on‑site installation, 24/7 support and specialist expertise in GEM80 system upgrades.
Responsibilities
* Identify and develop new business opportunities within the assigned territory.
* Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing clients.
* Understand customer requirements and propose appropriate technical solutions.
* Prepare quotations and project specifications using internal tools and templates.
* Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of industry trends, materials and costs.
* Negotiate and close sales, balancing technical and commercial priorities.
* Liaise with engineering and project teams to ensure successful delivery.
* Contribute to marketing activities, including email campaigns and case studies.

* Salary: £35,000–£50,000 per annum, dependent on qualifications and relevant experience.

Qualifications
* HNC/HND, degree or relevant experience in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics or a related field).
* Sales or customer‑facing experience in a technical or engineering environment.
* Solid understanding of industrial automation, including PLCs, HMIs, drives or motion control systems.
* Interest in or exposure to mechatronic systems or custom‑built machinery (hands‑on experience beneficial but not essential).
* Confidence discussing new technologies (e.g. digitalisation, Industry 4.0) and legacy systems (e.g. GEM80 upgrades).
* Familiarity with CRM tools for tracking sales activity and opportunities.
* Self‑motivated, organised and capable of working independently as well as part of a wider technical team.
