Our client, an industry frontrunner in manufacturing, is seeking an Instrument Technician to join their team in Irvine, UK. As part of the Engineering and Maintenance Department, you will play a vital role in maintaining and developing their plant and equipment to the highest standards.
What You'll Do:
* Undertake preventative and corrective maintenance routines
* Troubleshoot, manage projects, and refurbish equipment
* Ensure maximum availability and reliability of the production process and CHP plant
* Comply with safety and environmental policies
Who You Are:
* Served a recognised apprenticeship
* Qualified to HNC level in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or in Control and Instrumentation engineering
* Experience in a manufacturing environment
* Analytical troubleshooter with the ability to fault-find, maintain, and repair electrical equipment
* Knowledge of industrial instrumentation, fault-finding techniques, calibration procedures, and control systems such as PLC's/DCS systems
* Competent with engineering drawings
* Familiar with maintenance management systems
* Strong commitment to safety
* Self-motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team
* Excellent communication skills
* Organised and able to manage responsibilities efficiently
