You area trusted mentor, a role-model for more junior engineers, beingapproachable and are frequently asked to mentor others.
You prioritise sharing skills and technical knowledge across the directorate, both informally in 1:1 discussions and by arranging more formal training opportunities.
You build capability and raise the bar by contributing to hiring and interviewing practices. Youregularly participate in recruitment assessments.
Externally yourepresent the best of Tesco Technology to attract new talent and encourage interest in our organisation.
Must have:
* Java 8+.
* Spring Framework and ideally Spring Boot for building robust applications.
* REST API.
* Event driven architecture.
* Cloud platform(s) (e.g. AWS, Azure, etc.)
* NoSQL databases.
* Designing and building scalable systems based on software engineering best practices.
* Experience working with multiple software development methodologies including Scrum and Kanban.
Good to have:
* Experience implementing CI/CD workflows.
* Kafka.
* Reactive programming.
* GraphQL API.
* Micronaut framework.
* Experience implementing observability including monitoring and distributed tracing.
